Discussed Particle Model of Matter

States of Matter:  Three Balloons Activity  (the following is a summary of the class results written on chart paper)
            Solid:  heavy; in the shape of balloon; cold; fun; has dents; when fully melted turns into a liquid; requires
                      more force for movement; particles close together; frozen
            Liquid: warmer than solid; soft; squishy; water shoots out through small holes; water is released when 
                      balloon is open; moderately heavy; doesn't always stay in the same shape; its bouncy
            Gas:   warm; particles are farther away from each other; light; very light; lightweight; can be toxic and
                     non-toxic
